Recovery is not always easy. Some days are good, and some days are hard. Sometimes you feel strong, and sometimes you feel tired and confused. But one thing is sure, you are not alone. God is with you.
As I think about Easter, I am reminded of something powerful. Jesus went through pain, suffering, and even death. It looked like everything was over. But it was not the end.
Three days later, Jesus rose again.
That is what Easter is all about: hope, new life, and new beginnings.
Sometimes in life, we have moments that feel like everything is broken. We may feel sad, hurt, or lost. It can feel like nothing will get better. But just like Jesus rose again, God can bring new life into our situation too.
The Bible says in John 11:25,
“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”
This means that no matter how bad things seem, God can restore us. He can heal our hearts. He can give us peace again.
Recovery takes time. It does not happen all at once.
Sometimes recovery means learning to trust again.
Sometimes it means letting go of what hurts us.
Sometimes it means forgiving, even when it is hard.
And sometimes it simply means waking up each day and choosing to believe that God still has a plan.
Isaiah 40:31 reminds us,
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagle”
Waiting is not wasted time. In the waiting, God is restoring strength, renewing faith, and preparing us for what is ahead.
Every day, God is working, even when we do not see it.
If you feel like you are in a hard place right now, do not give up.
Your story is not over.
Your journey to recovery may not look like someone else’s, and that is okay. God works with each of us in a personal way. What matters is that you keep going, keep praying, and keep believing that this season will not last forever.
Just like the stone was rolled away,
God can remove what is blocking your path.
Just like Jesus rose again,
you can rise again too.
This is not your ending.
This is the beginning of something new.
One day you will look back and realize that the same season that tried to break you was the season God used to build you.
Recovery is your new start with God.
Recovery is not the end of your story
It is the place where God begins to write a new chapter.
